Case Study • Built for ourselves

We built the Launched website… for Launched.

The site you're browsing right now was created using the exact same process, timeline, and standards we deliver to every client. Here's how we did it — and what the result looks like.

The brief

We needed a website too.

We were two guys from Quincy telling local businesses “you need a professional website” while our own presence was basically a shared Google Doc and a phone number.

So we did what we tell every client to do: we filled out our own intake form, treated ourselves like a real client, and built the site we wish every local business had.

What “done right” meant for us

  • Fast, clean, and trustworthy on first glance
  • A working lead system (the big intake form in the hero)
  • Clear proof of work (our own site as the live example)
  • Modern interactions without feeling gimmicky
  • Mobile-first from day one
  • Easy for us to update ourselves later
Deliverables

Everything we shipped for our own project

Custom Sidebar Navigation

Persistent, collapsible desktop sidebar + mobile drawer. Replaces the old top nav and feels native on every screen.

Fixed left rail • Collapse state saved in localStorage • Full mobile off-canvas

Live Client Intake Form

Detailed multi-section form right in the hero. Collects business info, services, branding preferences, and socials in one go.

Formspree wired • Honeypot • Dynamic subjects • Mailto fallback

Cursor-Linked Particle Fields

Subtle interactive canvas backgrounds on the hero, CTA bands, and cards. Pulls toward your cursor without being distracting.

60–90 particles • Distance-based linking • Respects reduced-motion

Filterable Work Gallery

Our own site as the primary real-world example of the full process and features we deliver (previous demo concepts archived).

Live case study • Full feature set • Real process demonstration

Scroll Reveals + Polish

IntersectionObserver-powered fade-ins, consistent spacing, refined typography, and a rocket emblem that feels like the brand.

No heavy frameworks • Pure CSS + tiny JS

Archived Demo Concepts

Previous themed demo sites for local trades have been saved to our backup folder for reference. Our focus is now on real client work and this live case study.

Demos archived • Real client focus
This is the meta part: You are currently looking at the exact website we built for ourselves. The card you clicked on in the portfolio? It points here so future clients can see the process applied to a real (our own) project.

Same site. This page is just the case-study wrapper.

What we learned building it for ourselves

The process actually works.

We filled out the intake form as if we were a client. We reviewed our own work the way we make clients review theirs. We launched it, then immediately found three small things we wanted to tweak (and fixed them the same day).

If we can make our own site this strong in under two weeks while running the business, we can do it for you too.

Ready for the same treatment?

Fill out the intake form on the real site or just call/text us. We’ll treat your project with the same care we gave our own.
